Deaky's sublime songwriting!
I haven't yet come across a John Deacon song that I don't like. You know sometimes there are a couple of songs you don't play as much as others, or you don't really learn the lyrics to? Well, with John's i find that there aren't any!
I'm starting to think that although John wrote the least he was probably the best (can I really say that he was better at it than Fred though?) Doesn't matter, what matters is they all came together to display their amazing talents!
What I love about Deaky's songs is they are mostly upbeat and have memorable lyrics. They aren't too long or too short and just generally perfect in every way ^_^
"Keep your chin up when you're feeling lonely, don't let em get you down! Ain't no use in you sitting all alone, hanging around!"

I could never say that I can pick who was the "best" at anything, ever. But at one time or another I will think hat they are haha, if that makes sense. I will think they are fabulous but then I remember everyone else and how great they are!
I do really enjoy John's tho! I love how he was quiet and then he came out and wrote all these fabulous songs! Like no one (regular) gives him credit because they think Freddie wrote everything, but his sofa are all perch as you said. They have meaning and touching, real lyrics, but they aren't too depressing and slow or sappy. They are just right!
I also loooooooove Roger's!!! Like...I love them, becaus she chooses to sing most of them and his rock edge gives such a different point of the view to the band...like a different viewpoint for the music. They are always soooo cool and great.
I forget where, but someone said (I'm sure it was Fred) that they each wrote from their own means. Brian wrote from the guitar, John from the bass, roger from the drums, Freddie from the piano and vocals and frontman-ing, and i totally see it! Especially in roger and John I suppose. Like the star of You're my best friend, and ...another one bites the dust,..YA! Haha
And then all of Rogers songs with sick beats and rhythms and different pulses to. I love them.
I think I love bri's and Freddie's for how great and glorious and beautiful they are, John because he came out of his shy-shell to be awesome in songwriting, but I probably love Rogers the best, for reasons I've already stated.
I'll make a post about more reasons in his section tho haha, probably today so watch out for it! :)

Re: Deaky's sublime songwriting!
My favourite songwriters in the band were Bri & John. Probably because I love the Brian influence on songs it sounds like the song is wrapped in velvet & John's songs just seem to come from this special place only The Sassmaster has a key to.

Plus Bri wrote three of my favourite songs: '39, The Show must Go On & Teo Torriate which is going to be my first dance song
