Another thing that bothers me about people that talk about Freddie and such..

1. I'm sure you don't even know enough about Freddie to know what he would like, hate and laugh at.
2. Often times, he would probably be laughing and enjoying the performance some random person did or the cheesy tribute created in his honour.
3. Freddie was cremated, not buried in the ground.
His remains are unknown to the world, because only Mary Austin knows their whereabouts.
If they did bury his blessed remains, I'm sure that ashes and dust, no matter how all-powerful and godly, would & could not turn and roll around in a grave.

Yep it's in Montreux, Switzerland. I don't think that would be respectful tho.. People walk there and it's a hard brick/stone ground so people can directly walk on it and stuff. Also I think it was made a few years after his death so I don't know if/why they would have scattered them afterwards just to put hem there. I read somewhere that Mary Austin, who lives in his house with her family now, is the only one who knows their whereabouts. I think that was in the FM: Definative biography book, maybe?

I think Fred would more be astonished at how many Queen songs have stood the test of time and mean stuff to people. He always thought his art was disposable, he never believed that his work was ever his best hence the frequency of albums. Jessie J at the Olympics was just bloody awful because she was gyrating against Brian and you could see he was so uncomfortable because clearly Jessie J has no sense of personal space. He would most likely laugh at people's love for his music because he doesn't believe it's worth the test of time.

In reply to Stormtrooper's last post about he'd be laughing at people thinking his music is still good today; I can totally imagine Freddie looking at, say, a group of fans singing loudly to his songs and he's standing there, gobsmacked.

oh im sure he knew it someway or another! haha, like he was extremely shy and self conscious so he publicly doubted it probably lol, but like....if you are pretty and its so clear that you are NOT ugly, you know you are pretty, no one needs to tell you, you just know. But when someone does say something lik e"omg like obviously you are soooo pretty and physically beautiful!" (high praise), you are going to deny it somewhat so you A) dont look like a cocky asshole, B) you dont take all the credit and so you can leave some for other super pretty people, and C) it is only one person saying that, not everyone ever, so it still could not be true...despite what you actually think.

I was going to make another post about this but since you brought it up, i quite admire Brian! It takes so much courage to perform infront of almost millions of people, and with Freddie on stage with them im sure it made it easier, but Bri was and aways will be quieter and shy and geeky. (as cute as he as with that). And i was watching this, youtu.be/w_QcNSUnO5w (it is Love of my life, Live in Kiev, July 2, 2012, with Adam Lambert) and they put Freddie up on the screen at the end to sing the last little bit with the crowd, it was perfff, anyways, i could just see how shy Bri is and how much more comfortable he is with a guitar in his hands to work with, and how working with the crowd isnt easy for him.

and ya i thought about how he is doing this for the good of the people and because he wants to do it for his dear friend as his personal tribute. I thought it was sooooooo sweet an beautiful and courageous of lil Bri :3 haha whatta cutie i love him so much
